paris treasures

I was lucky enough to be hired to plan a wedding in Switzerland in July (you better believe I was pinching myself the entire time!). Before I headed over to Switzerland to work I headed to Paris for five days to explore.  My new favorite shopping destination in Paris? The flea markets! They stretch on and on, and if you're not careful, you can practically get lost among the vendors' tents and tables.

The Parisians were engaging and there was no shortage of things to look at and touch. Whatever you were looking for (or weren't looking for, for that matter) you could find. From sewing notions, old clocks, vintage seltzer bottles to furniture and old books. There were treasures everywhere I turned. And because my little suitcase was already packed to the gills with things for my upcoming event, I decided photos were what I'd (mostly!) take back home.

So here are a few favorites... And I must admit - I did leave with a heavier suitcase...there were some treasures I just couldn't leave behind!

a Charlottesville Wedding Gift

I am honored to be a part of the Charlottesville Wedding Gift — a contest that will throw one lucky Charlottesville couple the wedding of their dreams.  Vendors from across our community are donating their services  – every detail will be taken care of: from the venue and photography to the planning and decor. We are pooling our resources and our time to create an event of a lifetime for a lucky local couple.

Interested in entering the contest? Head over to our website www.ACharlottesvilleWeddingGift.com, grab your honey and tell us your story. We’ve got some amazing judges standing by ready to read your entries and select our winner. Contest opens today and closes on April 15th. And the fun begins now!

Have I Got a Story For You…

Photographing and meeting this family was the highlight of my year.

I’d like you to meet Ben, Sanaz, Zahra and Sourena, they are the Vasseghi Family. Four people, one family, and an absolutely incredible story.  You can’t make this one up — if you tried, no one would believe it. Read it for yourself

oh and Welcome to NSPYR

in life…

You'll find this manifesto on the Lululemon's website and on all their shopping bags.
It's their mission statement -- and it's a great outlook relativity.

My favorite:

"Creativity is maximized when you're living in the moment."

What's yours?
