Dana and Kevin

{see image gallery}

Enjoy these images from Dana and Kevin’s wedding! The two tied the knot at Farmington Country Club in Charlottesville, Virginia. The bride and groom had individual ice cream cups mailed all the way from North Carolina and that was just one of the many examples of how this wedding represented the couples fun, loving spirit. It was a memorable day and a treat to work with them!

sunny days chasing the clouds away!

Here is a sneak peak of Larrissa + Michael’s wedding day! They were married at Clifton Inn two weeks ago and despite the rain (and lots of it!), it was a gorgeous day with lots of happy people sharing in the celebration.

I loved being a part of the planning process, the wedding party + the big celebration! It’s fun to wear more than one hat, especially for one of your best friends!

{and thanks Tom Daly for these images… you’re a rock star!}

love love love those blues + greens

You just can’t go wrong with blues and greens!

I loved working with Justine to design ditty bags for each of her girls! She knew she wanted shades of blues, greens and ivory throughout the bags — to compliment the decor and flowers she’d chosen for her Pippin Hill wedding. She and Dave were married this summer — and take a peak at these amazing photos from Sasha + Tim!

Congratulations Justine + Dave! And thanks for incorporating ditty bags into your celebration!! What a beautiful wedding!

one hundred and four…and still going strong!

This project was one of my all time favorites… Randy brought me her grandmother’s wedding dress to re-purpose for her daughter’s wedding. The dress was 104 years old and the details threaded throughout were beyond amazing. I hung the dress in my sewing studio for months before I could muster up enough courage to cut it!

We took all the beautiful details, lace, buttons and embroidery and reworked the wedding gown into a chuppah cover — which covered the bride and groom as they said their vows. The chuppah now doubles as a decorative table cloth in the family’s home.

I then made two ditty bags for Randy and her daughter — as a memento of the wedding day: past + present.

How about that for something old?

{thank you Dominique Attaway for these amazing onsite photos!!}

pops of yellow!

Sheri and I worked together to design ditty bags that incorporated greens, blues and bright yellows for her girls. She wanted them all 100% different but we weaved the same colors throughout.

Here are some fun pictures from Jack Looney of the girls on the Lawn at the University of Virginia!

Congrats Sheri!!!
