market ditty bags!!

Announcing the newest addition to the ditty bag line… the market ditty!

I’ve used old belts and given them new lives as the straps on the market ditty bag. And they help to ensure that each bag is unique…no two are alike.  The design is simple, no pockets, no frills. Just enough space for your trip to the market, store, post-office, etc.

greens + yellow!

Heidi + Danny recently tied the knot! Her girls carried custom made ditty bags… Heidi and I worked together to design bags that would coordinate with her the yellows and greens she was weaving through her decor. Her wedding looked like it was full of fun… from the thumbprint guest book, to the skipping stones that doubled as table cards — I loved the details from start to finish. It was fun to see the ditty bags finding their way into the hands of her bridesmaids!

Congratulations Heidi + Danny! Thank you {and LimeFish Studio!} for the beautiful event photos!

lucky number 5

This is one of my favorite ditty bags stories yet…

Sarah emailed me and asked if I’d make ditty bags for her and her bridesmaids for her upcoming wedding. She asked each girl to send in a piece of fabric that was meaningful to them (and didn’t tell them what it would be used for!). One bridesmaid even sent in a piece of her special blanket…talk about trust! I used their fabrics for the inside of their ditty bags… and then we tied Sarah’s navy & green wedding colors into the outside of the bags.

For the bride? A special lining went into her bag: a piece of the T-shirt her fiance was wearing when they met. Sarah was set up with him on a blind date… at a softball game. Not just any softball game. HIS!

So we took the shirt he played that game in…(Sarah washed it of course!) and we used the number off the back for the inside of her clutch. A little piece of their story sewn into her ditty bag will forever remind Sarah of her lucky day and lucky number.

the peppers!

When Lindsay reached out to see if we’d work with her on her April wedding… the answer, was of course, YES!

She’d created custom printed materials with blue and white seersucker print and wanted to carry it through the wedding. Lindsay even found the time to make seersucker pillows to throw on Stonegate’s lounge seating. Ben made Lindsay and Bradley a custom corn-hole set to have on their wedding day. I made bean-bags from, you guessed it, the blue and white seersucker  — and we had the UVA and Vanderbuilt logos painted on. The corn-hole set is now at home in Texas — a little reminder of their big day for years to come!

Congratulations to Lindsay and Bradley… Mr. and Mrs. Pepper! It was a blast working with you two. And if this slideshow is any sort of testament…it looks like your marriage is off to a wonderful start!
